It’s probably fair to say that most of us are looking forward to seeing the back of 2020 and, hopefully, having a bit more of a semblance of normality about our lives in the new year.
If you love nothing more than treating yourself to a new pair of rare Jordans for sale then you certainly have a lot to look forward to in 2021, with some new releases of the iconic sneaker line scheduled for the coming months.
High Snobiety recently reviewed the top Jordan brand releases that we can expect in spring 2021, so here’s a quick round up to help you get excited for what’s about to drop.
The publication described the UNC-themed Air Jordan 1 as “one of - if not the - clear standout from the Spring 2021 Jordan Brand collection”. Pale blue leather panels on the ankle, heel, toe and outsole are complemented by white sections on the quarter panel, tongue, midsole and toe box.
The design is finished off with the iconic Nike swoosh in black, with further black details around the top of the ankle. There is also, of course, the Jordan brand wings logo on the side of the ankle.
It really is a stunning design and one that’s likely to get sneaker fans, and particularly those with a love of the Jordan models, excited.
Another release to keep an eye out for is the Air Jordan 1 Retro Hi OG, which features one area of hi-vis yellow around the ankle collar, as well as a bright yellow panel on the heel.
Women aren’t being neglected with the new releases either, with the brand set to drop a women’s version of the Air Jordan 1 Retro Hi OG, only instead of yellow the brand has opted for silver panels that at once make it look retro and futuristic.
The Air Jordan 4 is also set to get a few new releases, with a UNC-colourway similar to the UNC-themed Air Jordan 1 we explored earlier.
Meanwhile, the new women’s version of this sneaker “is a nod to the strength and beauty of the technical materials used in a spacesuit,” the news provider explained. Think black with an orange metallic mesh, as well as flashes of bright orange on the sole.
The first-ever women’s version of the Air Jordan 9 is also set for release in spring next year, with this sneaker designed to represent Michael Jordan’s global reach and impact. The rather fitting phrase, “Change the World” features on the heel loop and the predominantly white sneaker is accented with black, pale purple, grey and pale yellow shades.
There’s a new black and charcoal version of the Air Jordan 9 for men coming too, with this one featuring flashes of orange in some of the detailing.
The South China Morning Post recently revealed that the Air Jordan brand is growing its global profile too. According to the publication there has been a spike in sales among Chinese consumers.
It has also hooked a new generation of consumers around the world thanks to the release of the Netflix documentary The Last Dance.
